Understanding the Kirkpatrick Model
Take this 3-part journey to master the four levels of training evaluation and strengthen your L&D skills.
Master the Kirkpatrick Model through three focused phases: learn the essential concepts, practice with interactive matching exercises, and validate your understanding through assessment.
Audience: Training professionals and L&D specialists looking to understand and apply the Kirkpatrick Model effectively in their evaluation practices.
Responsibilities: Instructional Design Tasks (Analyzing evaluation frameworks, Researching Kirkpatrick methodology, Designing pyramid visualization, Creating interactive assessments, Writing explanatory content), E-Learning Development.
Tools Used: Articulate Storyline 360, Figma, Storyset, JavaScript, ChatGPT, Claude AI.
The Problem
Training professionals struggle to effectively understand and apply the Kirkpatrick Model due to text-heavy materials lacking engagement and practical application.
The Solution
I developed a three-phase interactive module: Learn (comprehensive visual breakdown of each level), Practice (interactive matching exercises), and Test (knowledge validation with certificates).
Full Development
I enhanced the Kirkpatrick project with two JavaScript features: a certificate generator that creates customized PNG certificates displaying the user's name, completion date, and certification status, and a dynamic confetti animation that bursts across the screen when the user passes their assessment. Using Claude AI helped me implement these celebratory elements, transforming the test completion into an engaging moment of achievement recognition.
